These semi-homemade tandoori Dumplings are an easy appetizer to pull together!
Ingredients:
15-20 frozen Dumplings (I used a package I got from Costco)
3-4 tbsp oil
1 medium sized onion, thinly sliced
1 green pepper, thinly sliced
Spices: 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, coriander powder
1 tbsp Kisna tandoori masala
Salt to taste
Cilantro as a garnish (optional)
Method:
Begin by steaming your frozen Dumplings according to the instructions on the package. Feel free to pan fry if that is your preference. Drain/keep aside, and a little bit of oil and mix to prevent them from sticking.
In a wok, add in the oil and allow to heat on a medium-high flame. Once it heats, add in the thinly sliced onions and Sautee until they become translucent. Do not let them brown.
Next, lower the heat to a low-medium flame, add in all of the spices including the tandoori masala. Sautee for 1 minute and add in the green pepper.
Once the green peppers are a bit tender, you can add the Dumplings and mix lightly to prevent the dumplings from sticking. The colors from the spices will absorb on the Dumplings as you mix.
Garnish with cilantro and serve with mint-cilantro chutney!
